Morse Code Numbers — 0 to 9
Unlike letters (1–4 elements), all Morse code numbers use exactly 5 elements. The system is beautifully logical — digits 1–5 progressively replace dashes with dots from the left, and 6–0 do the reverse.

The 5-Element Rule
Every digit in International Morse code uses exactly 5 signal elements — no exceptions. This contrasts with letters, which range from 1 element (E = ·) to 4 elements (Q = ——·—). The fixed 5-element structure makes number recognition unambiguous in live transmission.
The pattern mirrors counting: start with 5 dashes (0), and for each step from 1 to 5, replace one dash with a dot from the left. From 6 to 9, remove dots from the right. This symmetry means you only need to memorize the pattern, not each digit individually.
